I had that same feeling when I went to art college. I had to leave small, rural, suburb Ebensburg, PA to head to the large city of brotherly love of Philadelphia, PA. Which was cool since I was a 2 hour bus trip away from New York City. XD (But I never made it to Nintendo World.....) It feels weird at a new place at first, but once you get a routine, make new friends, and get used to your surroundings then you'll be fine.
Wow, great! I did exactly the opposite: From big Berlin to sweet Osnabrück ^^ But it's really nice! You're right: Making new friends and getting a routine is the most important. I already feel at home (:
Wow! There's always something nice about both. Although NYC made me feel stressed when I was sitting in a bagel shop. Everyone and everything is always on the go. But the quite of the country or smaller towns is always refreshing and relaxing.
That's good. Having friends where you're going to school almost feels like having a second family. I still miss (college roommate), (friend), and (also a friend).
