Personal Conversation

Description

The Dua (supplication) is a personal conversation with God. There is nobody between you and Him.
He even says in the Holy Qur'an: "And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided." (2:186)

And also: "And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein" (50:16)

The Dua is a very uplifting, liberating, empowering, and transforming conversation, a daily source of energy, that can be done at any time. And it's important to not only do Duas during times of difficulty.

Every Dua should actually begin in the name of Allah, putting all trust and hope in Him alone.
You will feel relieved after describing your difficulties to your Creator and you feel empowered after having communicated with the Allmighty. We should thank Him for His gifts and ask for all of our needs: Those related to this world as well as those related to the Hereafter. So you can pray, that He might help you (or someone else) with your exam or with your parents and friends, as well as that He might let you enter paradise.

And there are some ahadtih (narrations about the life of the Prophet (peace be upoun him)) that emphasize the high value of the prayer at night, like this one:
"Amr ibn Absah narrated that the Prophet said: 'The closest any worshipper can be to His Lord is during the last part of the night, so if you can be amongst those who remember Allah at that time, then do so.'"

Inspired by an interesting conversation I had last time. (;
